About Polyester Geogrid
Warp knitted polyester geogrid fabric is made of high-strength, high-oriented polyester filament composite weaving process, with excellent engineering performance and long-term design strength performance. It is specially designed to improve tensile reinforcement in two main directions. It is designed to be mechanically and chemically stable and biologically unaffected by soil microorganisms. It can be used both in demanding construction and installation stages and in soil reinforcement applications for uniaxial strength development. 1. The geogrid structures commonly used for railway roadbed reinforcement are biaxially stretched plastic geogrids and polyester geogrids. These two materials have the characteristics of high tensile strength, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, light weight, easy construction, aging resistance, resistance to cement, soil and broken materials, etc. Warp knitted polyester geogrid fabric is suitable for the reinforcement of various embankments and roadbeds, slope protection, tunnel wall reinforcement, foundation reinforcement of large airports, parking lots, docks, etc. It can also be used for the reinforcement of railways, highways and roads, and is widely used in runways and coal mines, metallurgy, water conservancy projects, etc.
2. Reinforcement of iron roadbed: Geogrid fabrics are used to reinforce railway roadbeds, combining composite materials and pavement materials together to effectively distribute loads, prevent pavement loss and roadbed deformation, improve roadbed stability, and withstand greater variable loads.
3. Railway track slag protection. Due to train vibration, wind and rain, etc., the road slag is lost. It is wrapped with geosynthetics to prevent the loss of ballast and improve the stability of the roadbed.
4. Railway retaining wall. Geogrid fabric is used to reinforce the retaining wall on the side of the railway. For example, the platform and freight platform in the railway station can extend the service life and reduce maintenance costs.
5. Railway slope protection. Geogrid is used for slope protection on both sides of the railway to prevent stones and fine soil from sliding down, increase the service life of the railway and reduce maintenance costs.
