BX Polyester Geogrids are used in a wide range of civil engineering
applications:
Reinforced Soil Retaining Walls:
Used to build vertical or near-vertical walls for highways,
bridges, and buildings. The geogrid layers create a stable,

Steep Slope Reinforcement:
Stabilizes slopes against landslides and erosion, allowing for

How Biaxial Polyester Geogrid Works: The Mechanism
BX Polyester Geogrids function through two primary mechanisms:
Tensile Reinforcement: Soil is strong in compression but weak in
tension.
When a geogrid is placed within the soil, it absorbs the tensile
forces that the soil cannot,
effectively "holding the soil together."
Lateral Restraint and Interlock:
The open apertures of the geogrid allow soil or aggregate particles
to partially penetrate and lock into the grid. This interaction
creates a mechanically stabilized composite
zone that distributes loads and confines the soil, preventing
lateral spreading.
